EMPORIA, Kan. -- Tre'Zure Jobe led four Emporia State University women's basketball players in double figures as the Lady Hornets defeated Pittsburg State University, 68-52, Thursday (Feb. 6) at William L. White Auditorium.
ESU (16-5, 9-3 MIAA) built a 32-24 halftime advantage against Pitt State (12-8, 8-4 MIAA) and never looked back down the stretch.
The Gorillas shot just 30.6 percent from the field in the game, making 19 of 62 shots. Pitt State struggled even worse from 3-point range converting just six of 32 (.188) long range attempts.
Tristan Gegg paced the Gorillas with a team-leading 16 points, while Sydnee Crain chipped in with 11 points. Athena Alvarado added eight points and eight rebounds.
