Pittsburg State Gorillas

Third-year player…  a trusty catcher looking to reclaim his starting spot behind the plate for the Gorillas… saw action in 29 games for the Gorillas in 2010, including 25 starts… batted .253 with two home runs and 13 RBIs… committed just two errors behind the plate in 140 total chances (.986 fielding pct.)… went 3-for-4 with two runs scored vs. MSSU (Mar. 31)… enjoyed four multiple-hit contests on the season… ended the season on a five-game hitting streak… redshirted in his initial season in the Pitt State program in 2009.

In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Allen County C.C. 

In High School:  An All-State performer as a senior at Tulsa’s Union High School… batted .350 with five HRs his senior season… helped the Redskins to a pair of state titles and a 63-10 combined record his final two prep seasons.

Personal:  Born January 20, 1988… son of Jere Filer and Annette Filer… a management major.
