Third-year player... a hard worker who continues to improve with experience... saw limited action for the Gorillas in 2009 and 2010... will look to challenge for more significant action for Pitt State this spring... played in 15 games with one start last season... saw action in 18 games, including six starts as a freshman.

In High School: A first-team All-League performer at Maize High School... batted .386 for the Eagles during his senior season... a two-year starter for MHS.

Personal: Born March 12, 1990... son of Greg and Susan McKown... a physical education major.
