Pittsburg State Gorillas

Third-year player… a talented righthander who rebounded well last season from a major arm injury… will look to reclaim a starting role for the Gorillas this spring… made 12 appearances in 2010, including 10 starts… posted a 5-6 record with a 6.83 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 59.1 innings of work.

In Junior College: Spent one season (2008) at Cloud County C.C. … At PSU: Saw action in nine games, including one start, as a freshman in 2007… posted a 1-1 record with a 6.33 ERA in 21.3 innings of work.

In High School:  A first-team All-League performer at Concordia High School… posted an 8-1 record with a 1.21 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 52.0 innings of work as a senior in 2006… posted a 7-1 record with a 2.55 ERA in 2005.

Personal:  Born October 7, 1987… son of Gerald and Marcia Sorell… a member of the MIAA All-Academic Team… has a 3.60 GPA as a biology (pre-dental) major.
