2012 Biography

General: Second-year player… a talented tight end who emerged as a front line player for the Gorillas late in the 2011 season… likely will exercise a medical redshirt season this fall as he recovers from injury.

In 2011:  Saw action in all 14 games, including one start… caught two passes for 11 yards (5.5 ypc) on the season… started in the National Championship Game vs. Wayne State.

In Junior College: Played two seasons at Butler Community College… a stand-out member of the Grizzlies’ Jayhawk Conference championship squad in 2010… helped Butler to an 11-1 record and the NJCAA National Runner-up finish… caught nine passes for 117 yards (13.0 ypc) and four touchdowns.

In High School:  A two-year starter at Blue Valley High (2007-08)… a first-team All-Eastern Kansas League selection his senior year… also a stand-out wrestler.

Personal:  Born March 2, 1991… son of Bryant and Sheri Combes… has a 3.46 GPA as a biology major.
