In 2017: Saw action in all 12 games, including six starts… made 40 tackles (25 solo) with 6.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception and two pass break-ups… posted a career-high nine tackles vs. ATU (Dec. 2).
In 2016: Saw action in all 11 games, including four starts… made 33 tackles (21 solo) with 3.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 quarterback sacks… posted a season-high seven tackles vs. NWMSU (Oct. 29).
In 2015: Saw action in all 11 games, including four starts… made 46 tackles (31 solo) with 7.0 tackles-for-loss on the season… twice posted a career-high eight tackles – vs. ESU (Oct. 10) and vs. UCM (Nov. 7)… added 4.0 TFLs against the Mules… earned honorable mention All-MIAA honors.
In 2013-14: Did not see any game action in 2014, after redshirting in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2013).
In High School: A second-team Missouri Class 5A All-State selection at linebacker as a senior at Fort Zumwalt West High School in 2012… a three-time All-Conference and All-District honoree (2010-12)… set a school record with 329 total tackles (213 solo)… also registered 17.0 quarterback sacks, 44 TFLs and four INTs… also a state medalist thrower in track & field.
Personal: Born July 5, 1995… son of Curtis & Paula Bernard … a five-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.29 GPA as a physical education major.
