Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Completed her second season in the Pitt State program in 2024-25 after a highly successful prep career at North Little Rock High School.

2024-24: Saw action in 19 games in a reserve role for the Gorillas ... For the season she averaged 1.1 points and 0.6 rebounds a game in 5.2 minutes ... Scored three points against Science & Arts (Dec. 10), Northeastern State (Jan. 4), Rogers State (Jan. 15) and Central Oklahoma (Jan. 18). 

2023-24: Saw action in 20 games as a reserve for the Gorillas ... Contributed 2.0 points and 0.9 rebounds a game in 9.4 minutes ... Scored a season-high eight points at Newman (Feb. 3) going 4-of-4 from the charity stripe and making two field goals in 18 minutes ... Grabbed a season best four rebounds against Ouachita Baptist (Nov. 21) in 15 minutes off the bench.

HS: Brown was a four-year letter winner for coach Daryl Fimple at North Little Rock High School ... While a member of the Charging Lady Wildcats program helped them to a 26-6 and a Class 6A runners-up finish in 2022-23 as a senior and helping them to a 28-4 record and the 2021-22 Class 6A championship as a junior ... Academically a standout as a member of the math honor society and being named to the All A Honor Roll at NLR.

Personal: Born Oct. 14, 2004 ... Ja'Miya is the daughter of Shineka Mitchell ... A two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.31 GPA as a criminal justice major.
