Matt Brown has served as a member of the Pittsburg State track & field coaching staff since 2004.
Brown enjoyed a decorated career as a student-athlete at Pittsburg State, earning NCAA Division II All-America honors on four occasions in the horizontal jumps.
The native of Beloit, Kan., also garnered All-MIAA honors on 15 occasions, including the MIAA outdoor title in the long jump in 2000. He also was the MIAA runner-up in the triple jump that year as well as the 1999 MIAA runner-up in the long jump.
Brown, who also was a three-time Academic All-American for the Gorillas, earned a bachelor's degree (2002), a master's degree (2005), and an education specialist degree (2007) from PSU.
Matt and his wife, Katy, reside in Pittsburg. The couple has six children: Doug, Lily, Jayden, Gabriel, Olivia, and Zachariah.
