Enters her fifth year in the Pitt State program… one of the premiere hurdler/sprinters in NCAA Division II… has outdoor eligibility remaining in 2019 after exercising a medical redshirt in 2018… holds both the 60m hurdles (8.24) and 100m hurdles (13.76) records at Pitt State… also hods the Pitt State indoor 400m record (55.26)… a five-time All-America hurdler… also has earned All-America honors four times on Pitt State relay teams… the back-to-back Division II national runner-up in the 60m hurdles in 2017 (8.38) and 2018 (8.33)… placed fourth at nationals in the 100m hurdles in both 2016 (13.74) and 2017 (13.56)… ran the anchor leg for the Gorillas two-time national runner-up 400m relay in 2016 (45.16) and 2017 (44.95)… a 13-time All-MIAA performer… a four-time MIAA champion: 100mH (2017), 400m relay (2017), 60m (2018), 60mH (2018)… a six-time MIAA runner-up… In High School: A stand-out hurdler at Putnam City North High School… Personal: Born September 12, 1995… daughter of Ron and Tina Nelson… an MIAA Scholar Athlete and a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.90 GPA as an interior design major.
