Biography
Enters her third season in the Pitt State program… an All-America sprinter who is hopeful to return from injuries that caused her to miss the 2011 campaign… redshirted last year… captured the MIAA title in the 60m and earned All-America honors with a fifth-place effort at the NCAA-II Championships… battled injuries during the 2010 outdoor season… returned in time for the MIAA Championships, narrowly missing All-MIAA honors with a fourth-place showing… currently ranks first in the 60m (7.50) and second in the 100m (11.77) on PSU’s list of all-time list of performers.
In Junior College: A stand-out athlete at Fort Scott Community College.
In High School: The 2006 Kansas Class 4A state champion in the 100m, 200m and long jump at Fort Scott High… had personal bests of 11.9 in the 100m, 25.9 in the 200m and 18-9.5 in the long jump.
Personal: Born November 12, 1987… daughter of Anthony and Debrah Nelson… a recreation major.
