KEARNEY, Neb. -- The Gorillas fell in straight sets to the No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney Lopers on Friday (Sept. 20), 25-11, 25-21, 25-14.

Pitt State hit only .040 to .257 for the Lopers. Pitt State won the block battle with 8.0 team blocks to 4.0 team blocks for UNK. Each team had five service aces. 

Crystal Whitten led the Gorillas with 10 kills. Abbie Smith added five. Jordan Rehm had 11 digs, while Whitten added eight and Kirsten Erikson, six. Hayley Hansford had 17 assists and also led the team in blocks with four, two solo and two assisted.

The Gorillas will travel to Hays, Kan. to face the Fort Hays State Tigers at 2 p.m.
