Volleyball Struggles Against No. 14 Jennies

WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Gorilla Volleyball team (4-7) lost in three sets to the No. 14 Central Missouri Jennies at the UCM Multipurpose Building (25-15. 25-5, 25-19).

Madi Mosier paced the team with seven kills and three blocks. Ashley Bell added four. Aimee Wood helped the Gorillas defensively with 12 digs. Mosier added seven.

Pitt State recorded a .154 attack percentage as a team, while the Jennies hit at a .405 clip. The Jennies had 13 services aces, but also had eight service errors, while the Gorillas had half as many errors. 

The Gorillas return to John Lance Arena on Tuesday, September 23 at 7 p.m. against rival Missouri Southern. Fans are encouraged to come and cheer on the Gorillas and help break the school attendance record.
