The ZOOperstars! Are Coming to Pittsburg

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The ZOOperstars! one of the best halftime acts in the country is coming to Pittsburg for the Gorillas MIAA opener on Wednesday, December 2. This special halftime show is sponsored by Labette Bank.

The ZOOperstars! an inflatable act out of Louisville, Ky. includes characters such as LeBronco James, Mackerel Jordan, Shaquille O'Deal and Yao Flamingo. They have appeared at NBA and college arenas all over the country. They also performed on America's Got Talent. Their halftime shows include dance routines, acrobatics, tricks and comedy.

"We are excited to bring one of the top halftime performances to Pittsburg," said Marissa Poppe, Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Partnerships and Community Relations. "The ZOOperstars! have been all around the country performing at Division 1 schools, NBA games and even made it to the Top 20 on America's Got Talent. Our hope is to create buzz around our first MIAA home doubleheader and kick off the conference with a big bang. I also want to give a big thank you to Labette Bank for making this night possible."

The ZOOperstars! will perform during both the women's and men's games as the Gorillas take on Northeastern State. Women's tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with the men tipping at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets to Pittsburg State doubleheaders are $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. They can be ordered at the PSU Ticket Office in the Weede Athletic Building, online or by calling the ticket office at (620) 235-4796.
