PITTSBURG -- Four Pittsburg State University women's basketball players scored in double figures as the Gorillas posted a 78-43 non-conference victory over the University of Saint Mary Wednesday (Dec. 30) at John Lance Arena.
Shelby Lopez and Kylie Gafford scored 14 points apiece to pace Pitt State, which shot 48.6 percent from the field (31 of 69) in the contest. Paige Imhoff and Izzy Morris added 11 points apiece off the bench for the Gorillas.
Gafford pulled down a team-leading eight rebounds as the Gorillas (10-2) owned a 25-8 advantage on the offensive glass and a 47-24 overall rebounding edge on the Spires (4-9).
Imani Dixon scored a team-leading 12 points for USM. The Spires shot just 25 percent (10 of 40) from the floor in the contest and committed 25 turnovers.
