PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University volleyball team concluded its season with a 3-1 loss to Emporia State University Friday (Nov. 10). The Hornets defeated the Gorillas 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-16.

The Gorillas took the second set, 25-21, as the teams faced nine lead changes before PSU took control late in the set.

Lauren Regier paced the Gorillas offense with 12 kills, followed by Mia Bledsoe with seven. Camryn Blanton contributed 32 assists and added six digs defensively. Emily Regier ended the match with three block solos and two block assists while Lauren Dunn recorded 11 digs.

The Hornets placed four players in double-digit kills: Tatum Graves (14), Jamie Hauptman (13), Yuchen Du (10) and Jordan Evans (10).

Pitt State finishes the season with a 7-24 overall record and 3-15 MIAA mark.
