Tigers Hold Off Gorillas Down Stretch 77-74

Box Score HAYS, Kan. --- The Fort Hays State University men's basketball team held off a last-minute comeback by Pittsburg State University to win 77-74 on Saturday (Dec. 2).
The Gorillas (5-4, 0-2 MIAA) were tied 60-60 with 8:17 to play in regulation, before FHSU outscored PSU 17-14 in the last minutes of play.

Hadley Gillum scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Tigers, while Brady Werth added 14 points. FHSU shot 41.9 percent from the floor, making 26 of 62 attempts.
Xavier Adams scored a team-leading 22 points for the Gorillas, while Grant Lozoya chipped in with 20 points.  

Demetrius Levarity posted his first double-double of the season with 19 points and a team-leading 13 rebounds.
