TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Donovan Franklin scored a game-high 28 points to lead five Pittsburg State University men's basketball players in double figures as the Gorillas defeated Northeastern State University Saturday (Jan. 27) at the NSU Event Center.
Franklin made nine of 13 shots overall, including five of the Gorillas 15 team 3-point field goals, in the contest. Pitt State (13-8, 6-6 MIAA) shot 61.7 percent from the field (29-47) and 57.7 percent from distance (15-26).
Xavier Adams added 18 points, while Jabari Antwin (16), Dakota Jones (13) and Demetrius Levarity (11) also scored in double figures. Levarity added a team-leading seven rebounds, while Grant Lozoya chipped in with eight points and a team-high seven assists.
Jamir Andrew paced NSU (6-14, 2-9 MIAA) with 23 points, while Lucas Antunez added 13 points for the RiverHawks.
