PITTSBURG -- Shelby Lopez led four Pittsburg State University women's basketball players in double figures as the Gorillas rolled to an 81-48 victory over Bethany College Friday (Nov. 23) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.

Lopez led all scorers with 17 points in the contest. Athena Alvarado added 13 points, while Megan Scott (11) and Maya Williams (10) also scored in double figures.

The Gorillas (4-1) shot 51.9 percent from the field in the game, making 27 of 52 shots overall. Pitt State also made 25 of 30 free throw attempts as the Gorillas outscored the Lady Swedes, 25-10, at the foul line.

Bethany got eight points apiece from Cassidy Enns, Halei Wortham and Alex Tyson.
