Pitt State Holds Off Sioux Falls, 62-55

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Pittsburg State University men's basketball team posted a hard fought 62-55 victory over the University of Sioux Falls Saturday (Nov. 9) at Municipal Auditorium.

Ray Elliott paced the Gorillas (1-1) with a team-leading 17 points. Jah-Kobe Womack added 14 points while Dejon Waters Jr. also finished in double figures with 10 points. Christian Edmondson added three points and a team-leading 11 rebounds.

Womack and Elliott combined to make seven of Pitt State's 10 3-point field goals in the contest.

Austin Slater scored a team-leading 14 points for USF (1-1).

The Gorillas are idle unstil Saturday, Nov. 23, when they play host to Baptist Bible College at 3 p.m. (CST) at John Lance Arena.
