PITTSBURG — Pittsburg State University head football coach Tim Beck announced today (May 29) the recent hiring of Korey Lindsey as an assistant football coach for the Gorillas.

"We are excited to have Korey Lindsey join our staff," Beck said. "He is a talented young coach who will bring a great deal of passion and energy to the position. We think he will be a great asset to our coaching staff."
Â
Lindsey was a three-time FCS All-America cornerback at Southern Illinois from 2008-10 playing for former head coach Jerry Kill. He was a Buck Buchanan Award finalist as a junior in 2009 and a team captain as a senior in 2010 for the Salukis.
Â
Following his collegiate career, the Baton Rouge, La., native was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played for the Bengals, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys between 2011 and 2014.
