Walker Shines Again in 68-57 Road Win Over UCM


WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University senior guard A.J. Walker posted his third straight 20-point scoring game in leading the Gorillas to a 68-57 road win over the University of Central Missouri men's basetball team Wednesday (Jan. 15) at the Multipurpose Building.

Walker led all scorers with 21 points in the game, making six of 11 shots from the field. He connected on five 3-pointers and added four free throws in the contests to help Pitt State improve to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in MIAA play. UCM (6-9, 1-5 MIAA) dropped its fourth straight decision.

Christian Edmondson added 10 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots in the contest for the Gorillas. Pitt State shot 44.4 percent from the field in the game (20-45) and converted 20 of 25 free throw attempts in the contest.

UCM stroggled from the floor, making just 18 of 63 attempts (.286). Gaven Pinckley led the Mules with 16 points.
