PITTSBURG -- Kaylee DaMitz flirted with a triple double and the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team rolled to a 96-75 victory over Missouri Western State University Thursday (Dec. 17) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
The Gorillas (4-3, 4-3 MIAA) built a 48-33 lead at the intermission against the Griffons (2-4, 2-4 MIAA) and never looked back.
DaMitz poured in a game high 20 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds in thec ontest. Maya Williams and Sydnee Crain added 17 points apiece, with Crain posting her career best offensive output. Tristan Gegg added 16 points, while Jayme Jackson also scored in double figures with 10 points.
Pitt State is idle until Dec. 30 when the Gorillas host Tabor College in a 6 p.m. exhibition game.
