TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Zach Burch posted season highs of 17 points and eight rebounds to help spark the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team to a 68-62 road win over Northeastern State University Thursday (Jan. 28) at Dobbins Fieldhouse.

Burch converted five of six shots from the floor and seven of nine free throws in the contest. He was the lone Pitt State player to score in double figures.

Martin Vogts finished with nine points for the Gorillas (7-7, 7-7 MIAA), while Ryan Pippins and Quentin Hardrict Jr. added eight points apiece. Bobby Arthur-Williams Jr. and Ike Moore each chipped in with seven. Hardrict added five rebounds and four assists in the contest.

Trey Sampson led all scorers with 21 points for NSU (2-11, 2-11 MIAA).

Pitt State will travel to Claremore, Okla., Saturday (Jan. 30) to battle MIAA rival Rogers State University at 3:30 p.m. (CST) at the Claremore Expo Center in its next action.
