Kearney, Neb. – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team lost its match to No. 15 University of Nebraska-Kearney, 3-0.

The Lopers would take an early 12-4 lead in set one before finishing the set with a 25-11 victory. Kearney would continue the momentum into set two with a 25-14 set two win. The Lopers would finish out the game with a 25-14 victory in set three.

Junior outside hitter Meg Auten tallied 12 kills and 9 digs in the match. Gorilla libero Marissa Bates had 19 digs in the match.

The Gorillas next action will be Saturday (Oct. 16) to take on Fort Hays State University. First serve is set for 2 p.m. (CDT).
