Topeka, Kan. – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team fell to No. 1 Washburn University in strait sets Saturday (Oct. 9), 3-0.

The No. 1-ranked Ichabods started off the match with a 25-14 set one victory. The Ichabods continued its winning with a 25-18 win in set two. The Ichabods would round out the match with a 25-17 win in set three.

Junior libero Marissa Bates tallied 18 digs and three sets in the match. Junior setter Bri Richard notched 18 assists against the Ichabods.

The Gorillas will be back in action Tuesday (Oct 12) when it hosts Missouri Southern State.
