PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University women's basketball team rushed out to a big lead and rolled to a 72-54 victory against Lincoln University Saturday (Feb. 6) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
Kaylee DaMitz led four Pitt State players in double figures with 19 points. She added seven rebounds and three assists for the Gorillas (11-6, 11-6 MIAA). Sydnee Crain added 13 points, including three 3-pointers in the contest.
Tristan Gegg became the 23rd player in Pitt State history to eclipse 1,000 career points in the contest. She finished the game with 12 points and now has 1,005 career points. Erin Davis also contributed 10 points.
LU (1-15, 1-15 MIAA) got 12 points apiece from A.J. Bradley and Niyah Jackson.
The Gorillas will return to action next Thurssday (Feb. 11) when they travel to Maryville, Mo., to battle MIAA rival Northwest Missouri State University at 5:30 p.m. (CST) at Bearcat Arena.
