PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team will start its post season taking on Newman University in Topeka, Kan. The match is set for 11 a.m. on Friday (Apr. 16) at Lee Arena on the campus of Washburn University.
 
The Gorillas enter the post season with a 5-9 record and a 3-5 record in the MIAA. The Jets enter the post season with a 3-14 record and a 2-8 record in the MIAA.
 
Pitt State and Newman have met two times in the spring, the Gorillas took both matches from the Jets. The most recent matchup with the Jets on Apr. 2 the Gorillas took the match in five sets, 3-2.

The winner between the Gorillas and Jets will take on top seeded Nebraska-Kearney at 3 p.m. on Friday (Apr. 16).
