Maryville, Mo – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team fell to Northwest Missouri State university, 3-1.
The Gorillas were able to take set one from the Bearcats. Pitt State was able to hold a steady two point lead after taking a 14-12 lead early in the set. The Gorillas would take the set 26-24.
Pitt State would fall behind early in set two 13-3. The Bearcats would use the early lead to take set two, 25-16. The Bearcats would continue the momentum into set three taking the set 25-16. Northwest would take set three 25-20 to take the match, 3-1.
The Gorillas will return to action Tuesday Sept 28 to take on Newman university. The Gorillas and Jets will take the court inside John Lance Arena at 6 p.m. (CDT).
