Box Score PITTSBURG — The Fort Hays State University volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take the final two sets and claim a 3-2 victory over Pittsburg State University Saturday (Oct. 8) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
 
The Gorillas (12-9, 6-6) dropped the opening set, 25-19, but Pitt State charged back to take sets two and three, 26-24 and 25-17.  The Tigers (9-10, 4-7 MIAA) controlled set four, 25-16, to force the deciding fifth set and FHSU closed out the match by edging the Gorillas, 15-13, in the end.
 
Meg Auten paced the Gorillas with 18 kills and 16 digs. She totaled 21.5 points in the match. Janae Thurston added 15 kills. Brianna Richard made 49 assists and Marissa Bates finished the match with a team-leading 23 digs.
