PITTSBURG — Paul Zilinskas led four Quincy University players in double figures with 20 points as the Hawks posted an 82-58 victory over the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team Friday (Nov. 18) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
The Hawks (2-2) converted 13 3-point field goals and shot 44.9 percent from the field in the game, making 31 of 69 attempts overall.
Dashaun English II posted a double-double with 19 points, a game high 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. Albert McBride added 16 points, while R.J. Forney Jr. finished with eight.
The Gorillas will close out action in the Pitt State Classic Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (CST) by facing Illinois-Springfield. The Prairie Stars dropped an 89-80 decision to MIAA rival Missouri Southern earlier Friday.
