PITTSBURG -- Will Eames led four Missouri Western State University men's basketball players in double figures with 17 points to help lead the Griffons to a 75-53 victory over Pittsburg State University Saturday (Feb. 12).
MWSU (11-13, 7-9 MIAA) shot 52.5 percent from the field in the game, making 31 of 59 attempts. Taye Fields added 14 points while Caleb Bennett (11) and JaRon Thames (10) also scored in double figures.
Magic Reliford scored a season best 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range to lead Pitt State (6-18, 5-13 MIAA). Ryan Pippins added 11 points.Â
Pitt State will return to action Wednesday (Feb. 16) when the Gorillas travel to Joplin, Mo., to face Missouri Southern State University in a make-up game that was postponed due to Covid-19 in January.
