EMPORIA, Kan. — The Pittsburg State University women's basketball team dropped a 93-86 road decision to Emporia State University Wednesday (Feb. 23) at William L. White Auditorium.
The Lady Hornets (14-13, 9-12 MIAA) shot 49.2 percent from the field in the game (31-63) and outscored the Gorillas (15-10, 10-11 MIAA) from both 3-point range as well as from the free throw line in the contest.
Victoria Price led all five members of ESU's starting unit in double figure scoring with 26 points. Kali Martin added 23 points and E Hartman finished with 18. The Lady Hornets converted 11 of 25 3-point field goals and 20 of 22 (.909) free throws in the game.
Tristan Gegg scored a team-leading 21 points, while Erin Davis and Karenna Gerber added 16 apiece for the Gorillas. Pitt State shot a blistering 57.9 percent from the field, converting 33 of 57 shots from the floor,
