Pittsburg, Kan. – The Pittsburg State volleyball program faced off with the 19
th ranked Washburn Ichabods to begin the weekend action at home inside John Lance Arena (Oct. 6) losing 3-1. Set scores were 21-25, 25-11, 25-10, 25-12.
Senior outside hitter Janae Thurston (Peculiar, Mo.) finished with a team-high 12 kills with junior setter Jadyn Jackson (Augusta, Kan.) dishing out a team-high 27 assists. Sophomore libero Josie McCroskey (Springdale, Ark.) had 16 digs while Redshirt junior middle hitter Carly Clennan (El Dorado, Kan.) had three total blocks.
Up next for the Gorillas will be a home match against Emporia State on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. (CDT) to conclude the weekend.
