PITTSBURG — Justice Sutton and Jordan Jermain combined for 34 points to help lead William Jewell College to an 85-72 victory over the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team Saturday (Nov. 25).
The Cardinals (5-1) outscored the Gorillas (2-2) 17-6 over the game's final 5:47.
Jordan Frison paced four Pitt State players in double figures with 15 points. He also posted five rebounds and seven assists in the contest. Tane Prictor added 13 points, while Evan Jackson and Braydon Redd added 11 apiece.
William Jewell shot 58.5 percent from the field in the game, making 31 of 53 shots.
Pitt State will return to action next Thursday (Nov. 30) when the Gorillas open MIAA play against Missouri Western.
