PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University football team will open its 2023 Spring Drills Tuesday (Mar. 7).

Head coach Brian Wright and his coaching staff welcome approximately 100 players into spring camp. The Gorillas posted a 12-1 record, capturing the 2022 MIAA Championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division II national playoffs.

Pitt State will conduct practices Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6:20 a.m. this week, before pausing for Spring Break. The Gorillas will resume practices Tuesday, Mar. 21.
 
Pitt State will conduct its Spring Game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 14, at Carnie Smith Stadium. The contest is open to the public.
