Washburn Takes Out Gorillas, 81-74

Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The Pittsburg State men's basketball program lost 81-74 at Lee Arena to Washburn on Saturday (Jan. 20).

The Gorillas (9-7, 5-5 MIAA) were led by Braydon Reed and Jeramy Shaw with 18 points each. Deshaun English II came away with a season-high 19 rebounds while adding nine points and two blocks.

Washburn (12-5, 8-3 MIAA) was led by Jack Bachelor with 14 points off the bench and Brayden Shorter had a team-high eight rebounds to go with 13 points. Andrew Orr and Sam Ungashick rounded out the double-figure scorers with each adding 13 points.

Up next for Pittsburg State is Rogers State on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at 7:30 p.m. (CST) from John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
