WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Pittsburg State University volleyball team saw its season come to an end Saturday (Nov. 16) in a 3-2 road loss to the University of Central Missouri. The Jennies posted a 25-17, 18-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11 victory over the Gorillas.

Pitt State (10-16, 5-11 MIAA) needed a win over UCM to qualify for the eight-team 2024 MIAA Postseason Championship. The Jennies (11-14, 7-9 MIAA) earned the No. 7 seed for the conference tournament with the victory.

Vix Vilott paced the Gorillas with 15 kills and 12 digs in the match. Ivy Fink added 12 kills and 17 digs, while Carly Clennan chipped in with six kills and 10 blocks (4 solo, 6 assists). Josie McCroskey posted 25 digs and Rylee Martin finished with a team-leading 26 assists.

The Jennies got a match high 23 kills from Maya Fergerson, who led four UCM players with double-digit kill totals.
