PITTSBURGÂ -- The Pittsburg State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams will send partial squads to compete in the University of Arkansas Qualifier Friday (Feb. 16) at Fayetteville, Ark.
Field events begin at 12:30 p.m. (CST) at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track. Action the track begins at 2 p.m.

Pitt State athletes will use the meet as a final tune-up before the 2024 MIAA Indoor Championships Topeka Feb. 23-25. Both Pitt State squads captured 2023 MIAA Indoor Championships and were preseason favorites to repeat as champions this winter.
The Pitt State men continue to maintain their No. 1 ranking in this week's USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Top 25 poll. The Gorillas have three national leaders – Hunter Jones (heptathlon, 5636 pts), Daylin Williams (60m hurdles, 7.77; long jump) and the Distance Medley Relay (9:38.49) – nine national top five marks and 14 national top 10 marks to date.

The Pitt State women slid one spot from No. 3 to No. 4 in this week's poll. The Gorillas have six national top five marks and 11 national top 10 marks on the season.
