CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Pittsburg State baseball team wrapped up its second consecutive conference series sweep of the season beating Rogers State 11-0 in seven innings Monday (Mar. 11) at the Diamond Sports Complex.
Pittsburg State improved to 16-5 overall (7-2 MIAA) with the win while Rogers State slipped to 13-7 (5-4 MIAA).
Cade Clemons paced the Gorillas eight-hit attack going 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBI. Jake Grauberger also homered and drove in three runs. Hayden Dyer also went 2-for-3 in the game and scored three runs l.
The Gorillas scored five runs in both the fifth and seventh frames.
Cadyn Castellanos improved to 3-1 on the season earning the win by tossing 4.0 innings of shutout relief behind starter Brady Pacha. Paul Panduro tossed the seventh inning for the Gorillas.
Pitt State will continue its road stint with a Tuesday (Mar. 12) match-up against Emporia State. First pitch at Glennen Field is set for 3:00 p.m. (CDT).
