WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Pittsburg State University women's golf team finished the first day of the Midwest Classic on Monday (Oct. 13) in 13th as a team at the Mules National Golf Course. 

Leading the Gorillas was Genevieve Akers (+16), ranking 45th out of 88 individuals. Abby Ervin and Katherine Adkins (+21, T-61st), Kymbree Larance (+22, 67th), Madison Durr (+28, 76th) and Charlotte Kerbs (+31, 79th) round out the competing members of the team.

Ellen Spigner of Arkansas Tech (-4) is the individual leader, as hosts Central Missouri leads the team standings at +16.

The third and final round of the tournament will begin on Tuesday (Oct. 14).
