WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Pittsburg State University women's golf team wrapped up play in the Midwest Classic at Mules National Golf Course Tuesday (Oct. 14).
As a team, the Gorillas finished in 13th place.
Genevieve Akers paced the six-member squad with a 40th place individual finish (+23).
Abby Ervin (+30, 60th),
Katherine Adkins (+33, 64th),
Kymbree Larance (+37, 69th),
Charlotte Kerbs (+45, 76th) and
Madison Durr (+50, 79th) also competed in the tournament.
Central Missouri claimed the team title with a three-round score of +31, while Ellen Spigner from Arkansas Tech (-5) claimed the individual title.
Up next, Pittsburg State will travel to St. Joseph, Mo., to take part in the Fall Regional Preview hosted by Missouri Western State University. The two-day tournament will take place at the St. Joseph Country Club.
