PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team will hit the road for the first time in October on Friday (Oct. 17), traveling north to Wichita, Kan., to play the Newman Jets in the lone action of the week.

Last week the Gorillas tied Emporia State in a goalless draw on Friday (Oct. 10), and ended the week with a 2-0 loss against Washburn on Sunday (Oct. 12).

In the meeting last season, Pittsburg State claimed a 3-0 victory at the Gorilla Soccer Pitch on October 18

Pitt State is listed in the Top-10 of the USC (United Soccer Coaches) Division II Central Region Poll (Oct. 14) for the fourth week in a row, sliding down to No. 10. Among MIAA ranks the scoring offense is second in the league and fourth in opponents goals per game.
