KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Pittsburg State University women's soccer freshman defender
Livi Jones and sophomore goalkeeper
Jocelyn Kramar were named MIAA Athletes of the Week as announced by the conference office Tuesday (Oct. 28).
Jones, a Jenks, Okla, native played a big part in helping the Gorillas post back-to-back shutout wins at home last weekend over Missouri Western (Oct. 24) and No. 23 Northwest Missouri (Oct. 26). Against MWSU, she scored directly from a free kick near the halfway line to seal the 2-0 victory over the Griffons.
So far this season the freshman defender has contributed two goals and two assists with 10 of her 18 shots being on target and helping the Gorillas claim eight shutouts.
Kramar, a Fort Collins, Colo., native picked up her seventh and eighth shutouts of the season in goal for Pittsburg State, helping them to a 2-0 week at home. Against Missouri Western, finished with a season-high six saves and collected four saves against the No. 23 ranked Bearcats.

This season, Kramar is first in the MIAA (20th in DII) for GAA (Goals Against Average) at 0.494 and second in the conference for shutouts (12th in DII) with eight.
The Gorillas will be on the road this weekend with matches against Central Oklahoma (Oct. 31) and Central Missouri (Nov. 2).
