Berry Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University redshirt senior quarterback Jackson Berry was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week Monday (Nov. 17).

Berry passed for 228 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 7 Pitt State to a 27-14 victory over No. 12 Northwest Missouri Saturday (Nov. 15) at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan. The win helped the Gorillas clinch a share of the 2025 MIAA Championship.

Berry (Prosper, Texas) tossed a pair of first quarter touchdown passes, including a 78-yard strike to wide receiver Tyjuan Atkins Jr. that staked the Gorillas to a 14-7 lead. He averaged 17.5 yards per completion in the contest. Berry also was selected the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week against Central Missouri a week ago.
