PITTSBURG — Two members of the Pittsburg State University football team – redshirt senior safety

Carter Stanchfield – have earned 2025 NCAA Division II All-America honors today (Dec. 17).
Rogers swept first-team All-America recognition from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), the Associated Press and the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA). Stanchfield was a second-team All-America honoree by the Associated Press.
Rogers (Bellmead, Texas) made 85 tackles (41 solo) with 6.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks, five interceptions, five pass breakups and four forced fumbles on the season. A three-time All-MIAA selection, Rogers finished his decorated Pitt State career with 162 tackles (91 solo), 15.0 tackles-for-loss, 5.5 QB sacks, 15 interceptions, 14 pass breakups and five forced fumbles.
Stanchfield (Paola, Kan.) anchored a Pitt State offensive line that helped the Gorillas average 29.2 points and 394.6 yards of total offense per game. A two-year starter, Stanchfield made 24 career starts for the Gorillas, including all 13 games in 2025.
Pitt State posted a 10-3 record and qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs for a fourth consecutive season in 2025. The Gorillas captured a share of the 2025 MIAA Championship, the program's third conference crown in four seasons (2022, 2023, 2025).
