CLEVELAND — Pittsburg State University Athletics leads the MIAA and ranks 14
th nationally in the 2025-26 NCAA Division II Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings released today (Dec. 23).
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 14 sports - seven women's and seven men's.
The Gorillas compiled 188.0 points during the fall thanks to NCAA Division II postseason appearances by the MIAA Champion women's cross country, women's soccer and men's football teams as well as the men's cross country team.
The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs leads the Division II fall standings with 289.5 points.
Four MIAA institutions, including Pitt State, rank in the top 50 in the directors' cup fall standings: Pitt State (14
th), Washburn (15
th), Nebraska-Kearney (29
th) and Northwest Missouri (43
rd).
