PITTSBURG — Freshman guard
Landon Short hit six 3-point field goals and scored a game high 25 points to lead the Pittsburg State University men's basketball team to an 86-64 victory over Rogers State University Saturday (Dec. 6) at John Lance Arena.
Short hit his career high scoring total for a second time in as many games after going for 22 points in a 77-63 win over the University of Central Oklahoma Thursday.
Short made nine of 19 shots from the floor and added five assists and four steals to his stat line against the Hillcats (4-4, 0-2 MIAA). The Gorillas shot 54.5 percent from the field in the game, making 30 of 55 shots overall.

Donald Coats (11) also scored in double figures for Pitt State (6-3, 2-0 MIAA).
Senior forward Caden Fry paced Rogers State with 14 points.
The Gorillas are idle until Tuesday, Dec. 16, when Pitt State takes part in the River City Classic at San Antonio, Texas.
