SHAWNEE, Kan. - The Pittsburg State University softball team completed the Top Gun Invite on Saturday (Mar. 1) at the Mid American Sports Complex against NSIC opponents Minneosta State - Mankato and Augustana (S.D.).
Pittsburg State fell in game one against the Mavs (6-6), 6-1 and lost against Augie (8-4) in six innings, 9-1.
Amaya Snyder hit a home run against Minnesota State, while
Heather Arnett,
Trista Peterson and Snyder accounted for the team's hits in the game. Against Augustana,
Courtney Storey finished 2-for-2 with an RBI as Arnett went 2-for-3 and was responsible for the lone run.
The Gorillas will play hosts to Southwest Baptist on Monday (Mar. 4) beginning at 4:00 p.m. (CST) in the home opener at the Pittsburg State Softball Field.
