PITTSBURG — Pittsburg State University has announced three updates to the 2025-26 men's basketball coaching staff.
Â
Former graduate assistantÂ
Bryan Yungeberg has been elevated into a role as an assistant coach for the Gorillas, while former student-athlete
Avery Taggart will step into a graduate assistant coaching position.
Blake Rogers, a former student-athlete and graduate assistant coach at Southern Arkansas University, also is joining the staff as an assistant coach.
Â
"I am extremely excited about the additions to our coaching staff," Boschee said. "Adding Avery and Bryan will continue a continuity to our coaching staff with an understanding of our program. Bryan is a relentless worker on the court and on the recruiting trail. Avery has played under me for three years and has a great understanding of what we want out of our players. Blake comes to us highly recommended by coaches I know and trust. He played and succeeded at the Division 2 level and has an understanding at what it takes to be successful. He will have a great rapport with our players! I look forward to working with them along with Coach Depriest!"
Yungeberg is beginning his fourth year in the Pitt State men's basketball program. He served as a team manager during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, before serving as a graduate assistant at East Central University in Ada, Okla., for the 2023-24 campaign. He returned to campus as a graduate assistant for Coach Boschee's staff in 2024-25.
