PITTSBURG — A new chapter in Pittsburg State Athletics begins with the launch of The Uncaged Collective, a grassroots Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) initiative designed to support Gorilla student-athletes through the strength of local supporters, fans, and former athletes.

Entirely housed and operated in Pittsburg, Uncaged is fueled by the passion of the community—built to ensure every dollar goes directly to supporting student-athletes, with zero fees taken from athletes or supporters. This model allows Pitt State fans to have a direct impact, helping reduce the financial burden many athletes face while providing meaningful engagement opportunities through marketing, appearances, social content, and more.

Created to continue giving Pitt State programs an advantage in an increasingly competitive landscape, the Collective is built on a foundation of trust and early support from those who have long believed in the mission of Gorilla Athletics. Their leadership and commitment have helped shape a model that reflects the values of Pittsburg and keeps the focus where it belongs—on student-athletes.

"This is about the people who love Pittsburg State—our alumni, former student-athletes, and fans—coming together to support the next generation," said Bob Fornelli, recently retired Pitt State baseball coach and now Executive Director of the Uncaged Collective. "It's personal, it's local, and it's about doing things the right way."

Uncaged will utilize INFLCR, a leading NIL compliance and reporting platform, to ensure all deals are transparent and easy to manage for student-athletes and university administrators. All NIL activity will be logged through the platform, while deals will be executed directly through the Collective, allowing for a streamlined, no-cost experience.
